accidents.sg draws from two LTA-derived sources with very different guarantees. They are kept visibly distinct so a precise live layer is never silently blended with an approximate historical one.
The canonical live feed, polled every five minutes under the Singapore Open Data Licence. Each incident carries a coordinate, a minute-precise publication stamp, and a verbatim message that we combine into a single event.
Open the LTA feed ↗Pre-collector history reconstructed from public posts. These carry a road name but no coordinate, so they appear in the list at road-level precision and are excluded from the point map until segment matching lands.
View @LTATrafficNews ↗Not the whole picture. LTA-reported incidents are not the complete Traffic Police accident registry. This is what LTA published through its feeds, dated and recorded — a faithful record of the source, not of every collision. Data is used under the Singapore Open Data Licence ↗.
